Deniz Tinmaz is a lawyer at MTR Legal Rechtsanwälte and part of the law firm’s business law-oriented team. His legal career is characterized by comprehensive training and wide-ranging practical experience, both in international business law firms and within the framework of his academic specialization. After the First State Examination, he completed a specialized Master’s program (LL.M.) in German-Turkish Business Law at the University of Cologne and Istanbul Bilgi University. In parallel, he gained in-depth experience in corporate law consulting, restructuring, and legal analysis of complex economic issues as a research assistant, among others, at EY Law.
During his legal clerkship at the Düsseldorf District Court, he focused on business-related legal fields such as insolvency law, corporate law, and M&A. His involvement in challenging mandates included both procedural representation and contract drafting and support for structural corporate processes. In doing so, he demonstrated a strong understanding of legal contexts, strategic thinking, and a solution-oriented approach. Deniz Tinmaz advises particularly in the area of corporate structuring, such as the creation and adaptation of statutes as well as in the context of complex general meeting procedures. Another focus of his work lies in the legal support of M&A transactions, where he assists clients in the review and drafting of company purchase agreements. Additionally, he has extensive experience in insolvency and restructuring law, particularly in the preparation of procedural briefs, insolvency applications, and the examination of insolvency-related claims. He also advises on liability issues of bodies and directors, as well as on restructuring and compliance issues, such as registration obligations or prospectus requirements. His profile is complemented by his specialization in German-Turkish business law, which he deepened through an international master’s degree.
